See, we're pocketknife aficionados and just recently we snagged ourselves a Cabela's Alaskan Guide® Series Vantage Folding Knife by Buck Knives®. Now, we have owned and used several of the Cabela's Alaskan Guide® Series fixed blade knives for years, and they're superior in terms of sharpness, holding an edge, and in ergonomics. This, however, was our first soirée with an Alaskan folder and it has, thus far, exceeded any and all of our expectations, and we had laundry list of them. As with our other Cabela's Alaskan Guide® Series knives, this folder comes with a comfortable wood handle and a fine-edged, drop-point blade crafted of extremely strong S30V steel made of metallic powders fused together under intense pressure and heat. Then, it's tempered under extremely high temperatures and cooled in a cryogenic freezer. In addition, its blade is extremely flexible and its hardiness is 59-61 Rockwell, plus it features steel that has a high chromium content that makes it oxidation resistant. Lastly, they're American made, which makes them irresistible, and they'll only set you back about $80. We give them two thumbs up and we recommend them to any hunter that's looking for the perfect everyday carry folder. Give one a test-drive at your local Cabela's today.
