The 847cc twin engine with Ultramatic Transmission gives drivers plenty of power and torque, all the while offering a vibration free and incredibly quiet ride that the Wolverine has become known for. The X2 has a well-damped suspension for improved control and handling thanks to shocks that offer a flexible, balanced ride regardless of your intent – work or play. Steve notes that the Yamaha R-Spec will no longer be offered in model year 2019, but don’t sweat it because the 2019 Wolverine X2 R-Spec will fill that void. The X2 offers the same fantastic creature comforts that we know and love from the X4. It’s roomy, sports high-backed seats, automotive style seat belts, cup holders, adjustable driver seat and steering column and more. The is cabin plush, comfortable and safe. What more could you ask for?
Well, Yamaha takes it to the next level by pre-wiring the X2 for Yamaha’s exclusive Adventure Pro Ready GPS system. This system is also brand new, and Steve will walk us through the highpoints. Powered by Magellan, this system provides GPS capability, social sharing from the trail and it’s portable so you can take it home and sync it to your computer. The Yamaha Adventure Ready Pro combines several functions into a 7-inch full color display. So, you can search for trails on the already preloaded U.S Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management maps as well as tap into an extensive amount of user generated trails. It will allow you to download, record and share your trail routes with others, too. Furthermore, the system also communicates with the Wolverine’s ECU to display vehicle data and warnings.
Aside from this new design and technology, the other showstopper here is the starting price. Steve tells Jim and Trav that the base model starts at $12,649 and then goes up from there based on the model you choose. The value that you get for the reliability, durability, fit and finish that Yamaha is known for, is amazing. Even better, the new Wolverine X2 will be available right away at dealers.
For the ATV lovers out there, the 2019 Grizzly is for you! Steve says that the Grizzly has been advanced, upgraded and refined. As the best-selling recreational big bore utility ATV for years now, the Grizzly has a wide following of savvy buyers and riders and the newest edition doesn’t disappoint. Of special interest is the all-new Special Edition Grizzly that has 27-inch Maxxis ‘Zilla tires – y’all, this Grizzly looks tough and it’s a head turner.
Finally, Steve will dish on the new 2019 YXZ1000R and YXZ 1000R Sport Shift Side-by-Sides. These 1000 cc shifters are like nothing else on the market. For 2019 they get new body styling and design, plus a relocated radiator, lower positioned seats, new suspension and more. The YXZ series is designed for high-performance off-road adventures and the 2019 models have enhanced gearing, bigger tires as well as the staple comfort, capability, confidence and proven off-road features that Yamaha builds into every vehicle. Steve tells Jim and Trav that these 2019 YXZ1000 Side-by-Sides are chameleons that can really fit in anywhere across the country, take on virtually any terrain and still deliver sport performance.
Steve tells Jim and Trav that Yamaha is committed to creating the absolute best vehicles that are made to work and last. Their testing standards exceed their industry competition, which in some cases makes them slower to market, however it gives Yamaha an edge as they can stand by their products with complete confidence when drivers climb behind the wheel. Tune in for a jam-packed talk with Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV and Side-by-Side Marketing Manager.
