While they are known for catfishing, that’s not all The MudbuM’s chase. Given the opportunity to fish for any species, Blaine says that he would actually choose crappie. I love the crappie game, he says, and there are a lot of different methods to do so. In particular, he talks about his fondness for fly fishing farm ponds and throwing a #3 Mepps for largemouth bass.
The MudbuMs give you all the goods you expect from an outdoor hunting/fishing show, there are plenty of hook-ups and harvests. However, they also highlight what the outdoor experience is all about, comradery. Blaine and Jonny explain that the show is really about a bunch of friends getting together and doing what they love to do. While some of them have shot really big deer or caught really big fish, they emphasize the fact that trophies are not what truly motivates them. It’s not about one-upping the next person, rather it’s about having a good time and not making it any more complex than it needs to be.
Be sure to catch “The MudbuMs” airing Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on World Fishing Network for a full dose of fishing, hunting, camping, outdoor cooking action and more.
